Lapsang Souchong
Lapsang Souchong Supreme: Born in the Cradle of Tea
Our authentic Lapsang Souchong black tea originates from Tongmu Village, Xingcun Town, Wuyishan City, Fujian, China – the universally recognized birthplace of all black tea.
This region isn't just famous for tea. It lies deep within the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Wuyi Mountains, also the core area of the Wuyishan National Park protected reserve. Imagine the oldest, best-preserved subtropical forest ecosystem in southeast China: 96.3% covered in lush forest, nourished by over 2000mm (roughly 79 inches) of rainfall annually. Biologists call it a global treasure – a biodiversity hotspot teeming with plants, birds, insects, and reptiles.
Our tea leaves come from naturally growing heritage wild tea bushes, thriving in pristine high altitudes between 3,000 - 5,000 feet, far from pollution. This natural origin is backed by official Chinese Organic certification.
The unique high-mountain microclimate creates something special: a tea with a powerful, distinctive sense of place (terroir). The brewed liquor is a vibrant, clear amber-orange. Prepare for a pure, rich taste that surprises and satisfies – notes of wildflower honey, orchard fruits, and deep sweetness fill your cup. The taste is rich, smooth, naturally sweet, and leaves a long-lasting, satisfying finish.
More than just tea, it's a rare and exquisite culinary art to be savored.
